I bought two of these chairs and it was the worst purchase I ever made. They are very uncomfortable. Compared to La-Z-Boy, you cannot sit in these chairs for a long period of time. There is very little padding. Once you find the hidden control and sit back in a reclined position, it is very difficult to return to the upright position. You really have to kick the foot rest hard or it will pop open again. The foot rest has such little padding that after about half an hour the backs of our feet ache. Bell'O either welded the wrong size bracket to the frame or included the wrong size support beams. They even placed the weld on the bracket inside of the bracket where the bar is supposed to go. The weld prevents the bar from setting flush against the frame. That's not all. The front wood part attached to the frame is poorly glued on and pops off the frame (not flush).This product likely didn't go through any type of quality assurance. The quality of it surprised me since it comes from a reputable brand. I ordered this unit from Amazon for a Panasonic 54" TV and lots of other electronic goodies: 2 recievers, DVD,BDP,centre channel speaker, Wii, etc. I put it together myself - It says you need two people but one reasonably strong guy can manage it.The assembly instructions were OK (I'm a mechanical engineer) but when I got to the shelves I discovered that one of them was in a million pieces. Next morning I called the Bell'O 800 number and they shipped a replacement.The unit is big enough and strong enough for what I needed and it looks good.See all 7 customer reviews...
